JEE Main 2014 Rank Card



JEE Main 2014 Rank card will be issued by CBSE to the meritorious on the official website on 7th July 2014. Candidates will be able to download their respective Rank card from the JEE Main website. The  Rank Card that will  indicate All India Rank, Category and State Rank with total marks and marks in each paper  scored by the candidate will be available on JEE Main website. Admissions will be offers on the basis of JEE Main 2014 Rank (All India Rank)
Important Note –   JEE authorities has notified that this year onwards no score/rank card will be dispatched to the candidates personally as the same will be available only on the JEE Main 2014 website.

JEE Main 2014 Result:  

JEE Main 2014 Result has been declared by CBSE on 2nd May 2014. Those candidates who have qualified the tier-1 Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) exam which is JEE Main, will be assigned a unique JEE Main 2014 All India Rank on the basis of which a merit list will be created and the candidates included in the JEE Main 2014 Merit list will be offered admission into engineering undergraduate programmes in various CFTIs, SFTIs, IIITs, NITs and IITs through a comprehensive counselling process

JEE Main 2014 Rank Card

·         The Rank Card will be formulated on the basis of scores of candidates in JEE Main 2014 and normalised score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam  in the weightage of 60% &  40 % respectively
·         The 40 % weightage of normalized qualifying examination marks is implemented   only for computing ranking of JEE Main 2014 which will be henceforth used for admission to all Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs)/ NITs/IIITs but excluding IITs.
·         JEE Main Rank card 2014 which mentions  All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Counselling Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, while State Rank and Category Rank are formulated  for information purposes only

JEE Main2014 – Tie Resolution Criteria  

In case of a tie, i.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal mark after implementing the criteria mentioned above to formulate the Rank list for admission to B.E/B.Tech programmes (in institutions other than IITs), inter-se merit of such candidates shall be decided  applying the following criteria priority wise  :
  •  1st tie resolution:        Marks scored in Mathematics in JEE Main 2014. Higher Marks in Maths will fetch you better rank.
  •   2nd tie resolution:      Marks scored in Physics in the JEE Main 2014. Higher Marks in Physics  will fetch you better rank
  •   3rd tie resolution:       Total normalised qualifying exam marks. Higher normalised marks in Qualifying examination will fetch you better rank
  •   4th tie resolution:        By finding the ratio of positive score and negative score. Candidate with higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  •  5th tie resolution:        If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to NITs, IIITs and Other Institutions:

Admission to NITs, IIITs and other institutions participating though Central Counselling Board (CCB) will be based on JEE Main 2014 All India Rank along with the criteria of subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B.Tech in NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs shall be as under.
Course
Required Criteria based on Class 12th / Equivalent qualifying Examination




B.E/B.TECH
1-Language,
2-Physics,
3-Mathematics,
4-Any one of ( Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational
Subject),
5-Any other subject.

 * With at least 45%  marks  for Unreserved and 40 %  marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category in all the above  subjects taken together

  
Note:   All other participating institutes that do not use the centralised JEE Main 2014 Counselling will prepare their own ranking on the basis of performance of the   candidates in JEE Main 2014 entrance and other criteria as prescribed by them

  1. JEE Main Counselling & Seat Allotment is scheduled to start in the month of June 2018. JEE Main Counselling is held concurrently with JEE Advanced 2018 Counselling and is called as JoSAA. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will handle the JEE Main counseling and seat allotment for the year 2018. By qualifying JEE Main 2018 Engineering Entrance Exam, candidates can get admission in various Under Graduate Courses in the field of engineering & architecture.
